Blue Gold Spring Football Game - The 2017 University of Notre Dame Blue-Gold Spring Football Game Presented by Boling Vision is Saturday, April 22, 2017 at 12:30 p.m. All requests for working media will be made through our online credential application. Please stay tuned for application link to open in the near future.
Deadline to apply for Spring Game credentials is Friday, April 14. Parking is on a first-come first-served, basis and is open to the general public. Members of the media are advised to arrive early due to other athletic events going occurring on campus throughout the day.
Credential Distribution - Approved media members will need to pick up press credentials inside the Joyce Center north dome starting at 10:30 a.m. Media should enter the building through the Gate 1 or Gate 2 doors of the Joyce Center and proceed to the north dome where credentials can be picked up and media hospitality will be located for the game. Media members are invited to sit in the west stands of Notre Dame stadium for the game and post-game media will be held at the Guglielmino Athletics Complex. Photographers will need to check out a green photographer's vest. As is protocol for Notre Dame Football a government-issued ID is required for pickup, and each individual must claim his or her own credential.
Game Credentials - Notre Dame Men's Basketball requests for working media on assignment for a professional organization (written press, online media, photo, etc.) will go through the Notre Dame Men's Basketball online credential application that will open in fall. Email requests will not be accepted. All requests for credentials should be made at least 48 hours prior to each game. Credentials will be granted to accredited media only. Spouses, children and guests are not permitted in the press row area on the floor of Purcell Pavilion.
NBA Scouts- NBA scouts requesting credentials for scouting purposes should also request credentials through our online application. When space is available, NBA scouts will be situated in the press row area.
Depending on media demand for game, overflow media and NBA scouts will be placed in the upper press box of the Purcell Pavilion at the Joyce Center.
Photographers- Credentialed photographers are not permitted to shoot in front or behind the team benches, the scorer's table or press row. When space is available, photographers also will have a seat at press row to set up their computers to transmit photos. When there is a high media demand for the game, an auxiliary room off of the Purcell Pavilion floor by the Gate 8 entrance is available to all photographers. The room is equipped with tables and chairs for photographers to set up their equipment and computers.
Post-Game Media- Both head coaches will be available in the Hammes Basketball Auditorium, located in between Gate 1 and Gate 2 of the Joyce Center. Media will want to exit the court via the tunnel across from the visitor's bench and the Joyce Center Ushers will direct you to the auditorium. Select Notre Dame players will be available in the team room adjacent to the team locker room immediately following the game. Visiting post-game player interview requests should be made to the visiting team athletics communications director.
Credential Pick Up- Media credentials can be picked up at media will call at the Media entrance at Gate 8. Credentials can be picked up 2 hours before game time for men's basketball games.
Media Entrance - The media entrance for basketball games; men and women is Gate 8 of the Purcell Pavilion at the Joyce Center. Media should pick up their credentials at the Gate 8 entrance and enter the arena through this entrance. If you are a media member with season credentials you must still only enter the arena through Gate 8. Media will not be allowed to enter the building through other entrances of the Purcell Pavilion at the Joyce Center.
Press Row - Press row at the Purcell Pavilion at the Joyce Center is located behind the east hoop closest to the tunnel from gate 8. Media should enter the arena through gate 8 and then proceed throught the tunnel. It is necessary for working media with a credential to use the gate 8 tunnel to access the floor and press row, however, media should not stand in the tunnel while the game is in play or shoot still photos or video from the gate 8 tunnel. Media should proceed to their assigned seat in press row. If you are a photgrapher or videographer Fighting Irish Media staff will provide specific shooting assignments on a game by game basis.
Auxiliary Press Row - Fighting Irish Media anticipates high media demand for high profile games that will require for media to use our auxiliary press row located on the north side of the Purcell Pavilion bowl. Access to this auxiliary press level is on the second floor of the concourse closest to Heritage Hall.
Game Credentials - Credentials are only issued to accredited members of the working media. Admission will be granted to media members holding a Notre Dame women's basketball credential only. Spouses, children and guests are not permitted in the press row area. Work space on press row is limited and passes will be issued on a first-come, first-served basis. Photographers are not allowed to shoot from in front of or behind team benches, the scorer's table or press row. Photographers wishing to use strobes must contact the women's basketball contact at least 72 hours prior to each game to obtain approval.
Requests for credentials must be sent to the Fighting Irish Women's Basketball contact Leigh Torbin email@example.com at least 24 hours prior to each game. Media passes will be left at the Media Will Call table (located inside Gate 8 at Purcell Pavilion) beginning one hour prior to tipoff.
Web Sites - When space allows, media credentials will be issued for those individuals who are affiliated with web sites for national or regional television and news media organizations (including but not limited to: ESPN.com, CBSSports.com, SI.com and USAToday.com), for ACC member institutions, non-conference opponents and the Atlantic Coast Conference. The University of Notre Dame reserves the right to refuse media credentials to any individual whose web site is not affiliated with an official news gathering organization.
All Other Sports:
Credentials are only issued to accredited members of the working media. Admission will be granted to media members holding a credential for the sporting event taking place. Spouses, children and guests are not permitted in the press row area. Work space on press row is limited and passes will be issued on a first-come, first-serve basis. Requests for credentials should be directed to each sport's respective communications director. A list of each sports information director is located here. Media credentials for other sports must be requested at least 24 hours prior to each game.
