The Notre Dame fencing teams have exclusive use of the Walter Langford Gymnasium located on the second floor of the North Dome of the Joyce Center.
Equipped with the latest in fencing training techniques and electronic scoring, the fencing gym includes 16 strips for team training, with the offices of head coach Janusz Bednarski, associate head coach Gia Kvaratskhelia, assistant coaches Ian Farr and Cedric Loiseau, and coach emeritus Mike DeCicco located adjacent to the fencing gym.
While the Langford Gymnasium typically supports only day-to-day practice operations, it recently served as host to its first competitive event, The Irish Duals, during the 2010-11 NCAA season.
Notre Dame typically plays host to its home fencing meets in the Joyce Center Fieldhouse. Bleachers and strips are laid down to create an intimate atmosphere for events such as the Midwest Fencing Conference Champions as well as the Notre Dame Duals.
