David Ludwig has been named assistant athletic trainer at the University of Notre Dame. He will work with the women's soccer and women's rowing programs.
Ludwig has worked in the field of athletic training for six years. He has worked from 2005 to the summer of 2007 at Ohio State as the athletic trainer for the hockey and cheerleading teams. Ludwig also served as athletic training coordinator for Ohio State Sports Camp in 2005.
He also has worked at the Active Health and Wellness Center since the summer of 2007, where he designed and progressed rehabilitation of athletic and personal injuries.
From 2001-2005, Ludwig worked as head student trainer for both men's soccer and cheerleading at Michigan State University. He was also part of clinical rotations with football, baseball, and softball.
A 2000 graduate of Southwestern Michigan College, Ludwig received his associates of science and liberal arts degrees. He graduated with a bachelor's of science degree in kinesiology from Michigan State in 2005. In 2007, Ludwig received his master's of science with a major in allied medical professions from Ohio State.
