Matt Cielen, a member of the Warren Golf Course at Notre Dame staff since 2004, is the superintendent for the course.
Prior to coming to Notre Dame, Matt was the First Assistant Superintendent at Point O'Woods Country Club in Benton Harbor, Mich., and he was a field consultant for ArborComm Technologies in Shelbourne, Ont. Matt has a solid background in the golf course business, having been an Assistant Superintendent at Arbor Hills Country Club in Jackson, Mich. He has also worked at Shadow Creek Golf Course in Las Vegas, Nev. and Winged Foot Golf Club in Mamaroneck, N.Y.
He is a graduate of Michigan State University 's Turf Grass Management Program.
Matt lives in South Bend, Ind.
