Monica Cundiff promoted to assistant athletics director, Kathryn Coneys named program coordinator.
Kathryn Coneys is in her sixth year at the University of Notre Dame, and her first as a full-time member of the Fighting Irish event management staff, having joined that department in July 2012. Coneys returned to the Notre Dame event management staff after a three-year stint with the ND Youth and Community programs division, where she was the coordinator of the Summer Sports Camps program.
In her current role, Coneys is responsible for aiding assistant athletics director Monica Cundiff with the coordination of all game day management for Olympic sporting events, all event management aspects for select events held in the Joyce Center and the planning of a variety of other events in the building. She also is responsible for the marketing efforts and coordination of athletic facilities for outside University events, as well as coordination of the NBC executive client hospitality program.
As coordinator of Notre Dame's Summer Sports Camps program, Coneys was able to pilot an on-line registration process as well as created a web site for parents of campers to visit for more information on summer camps, each contributing to an increase of more than 2,000 camp enrollments.
Coneys joined the Notre Dame athletics staff in August 2007 and spent two years as an intern in the event management department under the direction of then-assistant athletics director Tony Yelovich.
Coneys is a 2007 graduate of the State University of New York at Cortland, where she earned her bachelor's degree in Sport Management. She also was a student equipment manager for the Red Dragons' football team under the direction of head coach Dan MacNeill.
A native of Clifton Park, N.Y., Coneys currently resides in Granger, Ind.
