    Kerry Kemp, who began working at the University of Notre Dame in 2009, is the assistant director of recreational sports.

    In his current role as assistant director of recreational sports, Kemp oversees the intramural department, and his duties include scheduling events and sports leagues for interhall, co-recreational, graduate, faculty and staff, and campus leagues as well as training and supervising a student staff that perform duties that include being officials, office assistants, professional rescuers, and supervisors.

    Prior to arriving at Notre Dame, Kemp worked with intramural sports at The Ohio State University (2006-09) and Keene State College (2005-06). Kerry was a graduate assistant that worked with intramurals at the University of Kentucky (2003-05).

    Kemp graduated with a bachelor of arts degree in communications from Bowling Green State University in 2003 and later received his master of science in sports management from the University of Kentucky in 2005.

    Kemp is married to Emily Kemp and the couple lives in South Bend, Ind. with their dogs Cooper and Duke and cat Quinn. They are expecting their first child in July of 2012.

    Kemp is an official for high school football, basketball, baseball and ASA softball. He also enjoys playing golf and softball as well as visiting various baseball ballparks.
