Michelle Mensik joined the staff of the Compton Family Ice Arena as the Skating Program Coordinator in 2011.
She came to Notre Dame after working at the Ice Box Skating Rink in South Bend, Ind. from 2003 through 2011. Her main responsibilities included coordinating Learn to Skate programs, competitions, ice shows and other skating-related events. Mensik also handled the scheduling of all food and beverage related needs for the facility.
In 2010, Mensik hosted the Indiana Figure Skating Championships at the Ice Box; this was the first time South Bend had ever hosted the state figure skating championships.
Mensik is a member of the U.S. Figure Skating Association, Professional Skaters Association and the Indiana Council of Figure Skating. She lives in Granger, Ind., with her husband and two children.
