Tim Novak, who began working for the University of Notre Dame in 2009, is the coordinator of special events and family program for RecSports.
A native of Davison, Mich., Novak was a graduate assistant with the office of student life at Central Michigan University prior to arriving at Notre Dame. Before being a graduate assistant, Novak was a wilderness adventure guide in Wisconsin in which he guided rock climbing, white water rafting, backpacking, and kayaking trips.
Novak received his bachelor of applied arts degree in outdoor recreation and environmental education from Central Michigan University in 2006 and is currently working on his master's degree in recreational business administration from Central Michigan University.
Novak currently resides in South Bend, Ind. with his wife, Dayna Novak. In his free time, Novak participates in a myriad of sports including his favorites, baseball, softball, hockey, golf, basketball, tennis, soccer and volleyball. From his days as an adventure guide, Novak continues to enjoy backpacking, rock climbing, white water rafting, and kayaking. Novak is also heavily involved with the Center for the Homeless, Young Professionals Against Poverty, and Habitat for Humanity.
