Darin Ottaviani is in his sixth year with the Notre Dame Department of Athletics marketing staff. Ottaviani oversees the marketing and promotions for the Fighting Irish hockey, volleyball, men's lacrosse and women's lacrosse programs. In addition, he supervises the group sales staff and the event marketing student intern staff. Ottaviani also manages the marketing responsibilities for the Compton Family Ice Arena, as well as the promotions for Notre Dame swimming and diving, golf, fencing, cross country, track & field and tennis teams.
Ottaviani began working at Notre Dame in July of 2007 as sports promotions assistant where he served as the marketing contact for volleyball and softball, and assisted with men's basketball.
Prior to joining the Notre Dame staff, Ottaviani spent the 2006-07 year as an athletic marketing assistant at Bowling Green State University and coordinated the marketing efforts for volleyball and softball. In 2005-06, he served as an assistant equipment manager at Bowling Green, working with football, men's basketball, women's basketball and volleyball.
Ottaviani graduated from the University of Michigan with a B.A. degree in sport management and communications in May 2005. He served two years as a student manager with the Wolverine football program during back-to-back Big Ten Championship seasons. In August of 2011, he earned a M.S. in education from Indiana University-South Bend.
A native of Ellwood City, Pa., Ottaviani resides in South Bend.
