Jennie Phillips, who is the assistant director of fitness and fitness facilities for RecSports, has been a member of the University of Notre Dame staff since 1994.
Phillips, who is a native of Indianapolis, Ind., received a bachelor of science degree from Butler University in 1990. Phillips was a student-athlete in college as she played varsity tennis at Butler. In 1993, Phillips then received a master of science degree from Miami University and then headed to Notre Dame. Phillips also served as an athletic trainer for a variety of sports at both Butler and Miami.
In 2009, Phillips served as the event coordinator for the 2009 Notre Dame Japan Bowl.
Phillips, who currently lives in South Bend, Ind., is both a certified athletic trainer and a certified health fitness instructor. She is also a member of the National Intramural Recreation Sports Association, the National Athletic Trainer's Association, and the American College of Sports Medicine.
Phillips' twin sister also works at Notre Dame as a registered dietitian.
In her free time, Phillips teaches tennis for RecSports.
