Michael Sheggeby joined the Notre Dame staff in 2011 as the Compton Family Ice Arena Operations Manager, overseeing the day-to-day operations for the new home of Fighting Irish hockey.
Prior to coming to Notre Dame, Sheggeby was the Arena/Operations Manager for the Veterans Memorial Community Center in Inver Grove Heights, Minn. Previously, he was the Facilities Supervisor for the City of Eden Prairie, Minn., Facilities Division and Operations Manager for the St. Paul Arena Company, and the Minnesota Wild.
Sheggeby has served terms on the Minnesota Ice Arena Managers Association and STAR (Serving The American Rinks) boards, and in 2009 was the President of the Minnesota Ice Arena Managers Association. He has volunteered as a member of the Air Quality Advisory Committee for the Minnesota Department of Health and is currently the Website Editor for the Minnesota Ice Arena Managers Association.
A 1997 graduate from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls with a bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sheggeby has also studied Architectural Drafting and Design at Hennepin Technical College in Eden Prairie, Minn.
A native of Hastings, Minn., Sheggeby is married; he and his wife Rosemarie have two sons, Emerson, and Noah.
