Steven Smith currently serves as the assistant athletic trainer on the Notre Dame sports medicine staff, focusing his coverage on the Fighting Irish men's soccer and women's tennis teams. He came to campus following a successful stint as an athletic trainer at Eastern Michigan University.
Before coming to Notre Dame, Smith attended Northern Michigan University and graduated in 2007 with a bachelor's degree in athletic training. Smith then pursued a Master's of Public Administration, Health Administration degree from Grand Valley State University. While at Grand Valley State, Smith worked with the football and baseball team as an athletic trainer.
Smith currently resides in South Bend, Ind.
