Steven Srmek, who has been a member of the University of Notre Dame staff since 1982, is an aquatic technician for the Rolfs Aquatic Center.
Srmek, who is a native of Niles, Mich., has been a maintenance and pool consultant for a number of years in addition to his work at Notre Dame.
Srmek is married to Karen Marie Srmek and the couple has two children, Nicholas who is a sophomore at Notre Dame and Mariah who is dually enrolled at Brandywine High School as a junior, and at Lake Michigan College as a sophomore. Srmek owns 4S Stables in Niles, Mich., and is an avid fan of USAC sprint cars and Indy car racing. In his free time, Srmek enjoys camping and relaxing at his family's lake homes in Vandalia, Mich. and Sarasota, Fla.
