Stephanie Horvath is in her second year at Notre Dame as the Notre Dame Sports Nutrition Associate. In her current role within sports performance she assists program director Kayla Matrunick with coordinating the dietary needs for all 26 varsity sports programs at Notre Dame.
Horvath graduated from Indiana University in 2009 with a Bachelors o Science degree in Applied Health Sciences in Dietetics while minoring in Psychology. She continued her education at Kent State University, where she earned her Masters degree in Nutrition in 2011. She also achieved a Master of Arts in Education degree in Instrumental Design and Technology from Virginia Tech in 2013.
Prior to coming to Notre Dame, Horvath completed a two-year combined dietetic internship and masters program at Kent State and worked as a graduate assistant within the sport nutrition program at Virginia Tech.
Born in Racine, Wis. just outside Milwaukee, Horvath grew up in South Bend and is a graduate of St. Joseph's High School. In her undergrad years at IU-Bloomington, she lettered all four years with the women's rowing team.
In her free time, Horvath enjoys spending time with family and friends and staying active through volunteer work within the community. During her years at Virginia Tech, Horvath was heavily involved with the Southwest Virginia Special Olympics Committee and the Big Brothers/Big Sisters mentoring program.
