    Sports Nutrition Associate

    Stephanie Horvath is in her first year at Notre Dame as a sports nutrition associate. In her current role within the sports performance office she will assist program director Kayla Matrunick with coordinating the dietary needs for all 26 varsity sports programs at Notre Dame.

    Horvath graduated from Indiana University - Bloomington in 2009 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Health Sciences in Dietetics while minoring in Psychology. Horvath continued her education at Kent State, achieving a Master of Science in Nutrition in 2011 and a Master of Arts in Education degree in Instrumental Design and Technology from Virginia Tech in 2013.

    Prior to coming to Notre Dame, Horvath completed a two-year combined dietetic internship and masters program at Kent State and worked as a graduate assistant within the sport nutrition program at Virginia Tech while achieving her M.A.Ed. as well.

    Born in Racine, Wisconsin just outside of Milwaukee, Horvath grew up in South Bend and is a St. Joseph's High School alum. In her undergrad years at IU-Bloomington, she lettered all four years with the women's rowing team.

    In her free time, Horvath enjoys spending time with family and friends and staying active through volunteer work within the community. During her years at Virginia Tech, Horvath was heavily involved with the Southwest Virginia Special Olympics Committee and the Big Brothers/Big Sisters mentoring program.
