Alex Stone is currently in his second year at the University of Notre Dame, starting in July of 2012.
Hailing originally from Somerset, N.J., Stone graduated from Xavier University with a bachelors of art degree in TV Broadcast Journalism. He minored in Communication Studies.
Prior to coming to Notre Dame, Stone worked as a camera man at WDSU-Channel 6. He also coached and taught at Sophie B. Wright Charter School in New Orleans, civil district court at the Davillier Law group, and the Hurricane Legal Center.
Stone began his basketball career at the New Jersey Institute of Technology, and transferred to Xavier, and was a key player on the basketball squad. He and his wife Fatimah were married in December of 2012.
Outside of work, Stone enjoys playing basketball and football with his two children, Richie and Irvin, and spending time with his family outdoors. Says Stone, "I put God first and invest all the rest of my time and efforts into my family: loving my kids and trying to keep my wife happy. God. Family, Notre Dame."
Stone currently resides in South Bend, Ind.
