Janice Tabb is the financial assistant for the RecSports department. She recently earned this post, after working the past 13 years as a bookkeeper and financial assistant in the Notre Dame Athletics Business Office. Tabb will continue to provide financial analysis of leases as well as tracking and reconciling income, expenses, and accounts payable for the RecSports department; she will be dealing with 41 club sports, the Bengal Bouts and Baraka Bouts, and events going on at the Rockne Memorial, Rolfs Aquatic, and Rolfs Sports Recreational Center.
Prior to working at Notre Dame, Tabb previously worked at Koszegi Industries, Inc.-South Bend, the Holiday Inn Downtown South Bend, Uniroyal -Mishawaka and the Bendix Corp-South Bend, in special projects, preparing financial reports/payroll, auditing/inventory, accounts receivable and accounts payable.
Tabb has two daughters - Shawyn'que, who has her Masters in Psychology and lives with her husband Don and their son in Minnesota, and Estella, who is a 2009 Notre Dame graduate. Estella is currently attending graduate school working on her masters in Christian Counseling.
Tabb attended Saint Mary's College from 1972-75, and acquired an Associates of Accounting degree from Indiana Vocational Technical College, South Bend in 1978. Tabb later studied at Indiana University, South Bend from 1982-83 and obtained her Bachelors of Science Degree in Organization Management from Bethel College, Mishawaka in 2011.
