Jeff Walker was named assistant director of RecSports in August 2008. Walker currently serves as the director of facilities, special events and family programming.
Walker spent the previous five years as the Director for Athletics and Recreation at Indiana University-South Bend. While at IUSB, he administered the athletics and recreation programs, operated the Students Activities Center and directed the student life programs for the University.
Prior to his time at IUSB, Walker served as the assistant director of recreational sports with Notre Dame. During his first stint, from 1996-2003, he directed and administered the comprehensive and nationally-renowned intramural sports program. He was instrumental in restoring the intramural sports program to its current prominence during this time.
Walker received his master's in higher education administration from the University of Missouri-Kansas City in 1989, after earning his bachelor's degree in recreation management from the University of Southern Colorado (now called Colorado State University-Pueblo) in 1987.
