Now in his fifth year at Notre Dame, Greg Weber returned to his alma mater in July 2005 as the summer sports camps/recreational facilities intern. He later was promoted to sports camps coordinator in February 2007. In his current position within the athletics department's RecSports division, Weber coordinates the department's sports camps (which totaled more than 10,000 campers in '07), scheduling, application processing and human resources and registration, in addition to assisting with RecSports special events such as the Domer Run and Late Night Olympics. Weber spent the 2004-05 academic year as the external affairs intern in the Cleveland State University athletics department. There, he helped organize and implement fundraising initiatives while also assisting in all facets of game management, ticketing and marketing. Weber graduated from Notre Dame in 2002 with a degree in business administration (accounting). He also was a member of the student managers' organization, becoming the head men's basketball manager for 2001-02 and the manager representative on the Student-Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC). Weber went on to attend graduate school at Ohio University, graduating in 2004 with master's degrees in business administration and sport administration & facility management. While at Ohio U., he was the graduate assistant for operations at the Charles J. Ping Student Recreation Center, as well as class treasurer. Aside from his current duties at Notre Dame, Weber also has worked at the FedEx Orange Bowl as a member of its hospitality committee since 2003. Weber is a native of South Bend. |
