Matthew Yops is the assistant golf course superintendent at the Warren Golf Course at Notre Dame. He has held this position since 2005. Yops had previously worked at a number of top golf courses including Point O' Woods, Lost Dunes and Glenwild.
Yops graduated from Coloma High School, and went on to earn his degree in golf course turf management at Michigan State University.
Hailing originally from Coloma, Mich., Yops and his wife Jamie currently reside in South Bend. They enjoy spending lots of time golfing, hunting and boating on the weekends.
