The Purdue win was a big win for us. We really didn't play well at Purdue last year, so this time we were looking for a little redemption. They have always been a strong team, and our biggest rivals in the state of Indiana. We were happy to come out and pull away like we did at the end of the game.

We were not happy, however, that finals would start the following Monday. It is good to have finals over now, and to have a month off from classes. Now we can concentrate on some big games coming up on our schedule.

This last Monday we played Western Michigan, our last home game until New Years Eve when we host Rice. The team played well together, which is good to see at this point in the season. To see the chemistry develop, and that everyone is improving, is a big plus right now.

In the game, Alicia Ratay and Erica Haney had big height advantages over their opponents, and we used that to our advantage. Alicia shot the ball extremely well and Kelly Siemon had a great game off the bench.

Our next game is against a tough Marquette team who play really hard. We have to go in there focused for one more game before everyone goes home for Christmas. It is going to take a team effort and hopefully everyone can pull together.

After Christmas, we have a little trip to California to play USC. The change in weather will be welcome after all the snow we have received here in northern Indiana.
