AS A FRESHMAN & SOPHOMORE: Turned in solid seventh-place finish at 2000 Midwest Fencing Conference individual competition (fellow Irish foilists Ozren Debic and Forest Walton finished 1-2 before repeating that finish in 2001) ... posted 11-2 record in 2000, after winning 15 of 17 bouts as a freshman in 1999.
