Lefthander who was very light on his feet with an attractive style earned All-America sabre honors after posting NCAA finishes of 11th (98), 5th (00) and 10th (01) did not compete in 1999, while studying in Mexico finished his career ranked 13th on Notre Dame list for career wins among all weapons (152-32, fifth among sabres owns sixth-highest season win total ever by an Irish mens sabre (53-10, in 98) trained at the Indiana Fencing Academy under his father and current Irish head coach Janusz Bednarski placed third at 2000 and 01 Midwest Regional and sixth in 02 (narrowly missing NCAA berth) Midwest Fencing Conference runner-up in 98 and 01 four-time recipient of Notre Dames Dan Mulligan mens sabre leadership award trained with Polands national team in summer of 97 graduated as double major in government and international studies.
