Inspiring success story who joined program as sophomore walk-on in ‘99 and went on to compete in the 2000-02 NCAAs … closed with All-America sabre honors at ‘02 NCAAs (12th) … also competed in 1999, when women’s sabre was under exhibition status … three-year captain and 2002 women’s team MVP (four-time women’s sabre MVP) … 2001 Midwest Regional runner-up (4th in 2000, 3rd in ‘02) … 2002 Midwest Fencing Conference runner-up … won Penn State Open in fall of 2001 … only Notre Dame fencer ever to receive each of the following team honors: the DeCicco/Langford Award for inspiration (‘01), the Langford Award for leadership, (‘02) and the Rockne Student-Athlete Award (‘02) … eight-time Dean’s List student who completed challenging double-major curriculum in mathematics and music.
