HIGH SCHOOL AND PERSONAL: Jade Paige Barber graduated from Midpark High School in the spring of 2011 ... lettered four times in track and field as a sprinter and hurdler ... also lettered three times as a guard on the basketball team and once in cross country ... conference and sectional champion as a freshman, sophomore and senior ... regional and state champion as a senior ... won the 2010 indoor state championship in the 400 meters in 55.46 and the 60 meters in 8.71 ... named team MVP as a sophomore ... top times include 54.35 in the 400 meters, 14.36 in the 100 hurdles, 24.64 in the 200 meters and 11.8 in the 100 meters ... basketball team won a conference and sectional title during senior year ... competed on the Ohio Flyers club team, advancing to the AAU nationals in 2009 and placing second in the women's 16 age group ... off the track, was a member of the National Honors Society ... born to John Barber III and Annette Moore in Cleveland, Ohio ... has an older brother John Barber IV, and a twin sister, Kaila, who is also an incoming track and field freshman at Notre Dame ... brother, John, ran track and field in college ... enrolled in the College of Arts and Letters.
