    AS A SOPHOMORE: Began to shift his focus almost exclusively to the pole vault, resulting in an outdoor all-BIG EAST performance ... vaulted 4.50m (14-9) to take second and set a career best at the Notre Dame Opener ... took eighth and was one of four Notre Dame point scorers in the pole vault at the BIG EAST indoor meet ... his points contributed to the Notre Dame men's team title ... took tenth outdoors at the Mike Poehlein Invitational, vaulting 4.45m (14-7 1/4) ... tied for sixth at the Central Collegiate Championship with the same height ... went 4.55m (14-11 1/4) at the Hillsdale Gina Relays ... stepped up with a huge performance at the outdoor BIG EAST Championship, vaulting a career best of 4.80m (15-9) to finish third and earn all-BIG EAST honors ... will be one of the more interesting and exciting athletes to watch in 2008.
