This is the 11th-year for the traditional year-end gala honoring more than 750 student-athletes for their achievements on the field and in the classroom during the 2011-12 school year.

AS A SENIOR (Cross Country): Competed in the first four meets of the cross country season ... turned in three top-15 finishes to open the year ... placed second out of 105 runners in the 5K JV race at the National Catholic Championships (18:15.4), and followed it up with a third place finish out of 75 runners in the 5K JV race at the Notre Dame Invitational (18:21) ... opened year with an 11th place showing out of 81 runners at the 5K Crusader Invitational (19:05.4) ... also ran in the 6K "B" race at the Wisconsin Invitational.
AS A JUNIOR: Saw action in one cross country meet, finishing 27th at the Notre Dame Invitational (19:47) ... competed in 12 meets during the track and field season ... finished second in the 800m at the indoor Notre Dame Invitational (2:17.47) ... claimed eighth out of 68 runners in the 800m at the Gina Relays (2:13.68) ... other top 800m finishes included fifth out of 34 at the indoor Indiana University Relays (2:13.35), fifth out of 27 runners at the outdoor Purdue Dave Rankin Invitational (2:18.41), seventh out of 24 runners at the indoor GVSU Bob Eubanks Open (2:14.66) and fifth out of 15 runners at the outdoor Texas Roadhouse Border Battle (2:13.57) ... participated in several top 4x400 relay finishes including third out of nine teams at the indoor Blue & Gold Invitational (4:01.41), third out of 17 teams at the indoor GVSU Bob Eubanks Open (3:56.93) and fourth out of 12 teams at the outdoor Purdue Mike Poehlein Invitational (4:03.38) ... received a monogram for the third straight season.
AS A SOPHOMORE:Competed mainly in the 800 on the season ... opened with a second-place finish in the event at the Blue and Gold Invitational, recording a 2:15.28 ... also helped 4x400 relay team to a win, posting a 3:56.39 ... crossed in third in the 800 (2:14.65) and seventh in the 4x400 relay (4:06.01) at the Notre Dame Indoor Opener ... placed third in the 800 (2:13.78) and first in the 4x400 relay (3:55.11) at the Notre Dame Invitational ... at the Indiana Relays, finished second in her heat and seventh overall in the 800 in 1:34.91 and crossed second in the 4x800 relays at 9:03.66 ... competed in the 500 (1:15.93) and 800 (2:13.31) at the Meyo Invitational, finishing 10th and 25th, respectively ... crossed 16th in the 800 (2:15.20) and fifth in the 4x800 (8:51.73) at the BIG EAST Indoor Championships ... ran the 800 at the Alex Wilson and finished 30th in 2:16.15 ... finished second in the 800 at the Mike Poehlein Invite, stopping the clockat 2:15.46 and also helped 4x400 relay team finish fourth in 3:54.81 ... fifth in the 800 at the Dave Rankin Invite, crossing at 2:15.21 ... capped season with 17th-place finish in the 800 in 2:12.90 and a fifth-place result in the 4x800 in 8:53.47 at the BIG EAST Outdoor Championships.
AS A FRESHMAN: Finished seventh in the 800 at the Dave Rankin Invitational in 2:16.34 ... finished sixth in the 800 at the Mike Poehlein Invitational in 2:17.01 ... had an 18th-place finish at the BIG EAST Indoor Championships in the 500 in 1:16.01 ... ran the 500 (1:15.39) and the 800 (2:14.91) at the Meyo Invitational ... finished fourth in the 600 at the Indiana Relays in 1:35.33 ... had a third-place finish in the 500 at the Notre Dame Invitational in 1:15.63 ... finished fifth in the 500 at the Notre Dame Indoor Opener in 1:17.59 ... ran the 600 in 1:36.76 for a seventh-place finish at the Indiana Open ... opened up the season with a third-place finish in the 800 at the Blue and Gold Invitational in 2:19.76.
HIGH SCHOOL AND PERSONAL:Competed in soccer, basketball and track and field for Ottawa-Glendorf (Ohio), earning 10 letters total in those sports ... helped lead the track team to the conference title all four years and the regional crown in her freshman through junior years ... team captured the state championship in her junior season ... named all-conference all four years, as well as all-state ... named team MVP in her junior and senior seasons ... member of the National Honor Society and participated in Habitat for Humanity ... born October 2, 1989 ... daughter of Nicholas and Sharon Schroeder ... enrolled in the College of Science as a biological sciences major.
