SAC Invitational ... earned all-BIG EAST outdoor track honors in the 5,000 (third) and 10,000 (second) ... competed in the indoor track season in the mile and the 3,000 and 5,000 meters ... 1999 BIG EAST champion in the 3,000 with a time of 8:20.38 ... also won the 5,000-meter race at the Alex Wilson Invitational with a NCAA provisional time of 14:13.88 ... AS A FRESHMAN: One of the 1997 cross country team?s top runners ... won his first two collegiate cross country meets ... won the Scarlet/Gray Invitational in 24:56.6 and the National Catholic meet in 24:53 ... second best on the team at the Notre Dame Invitational, where he placed 11th, and the Furman Invitational where he finished 28th ... third on the team at both the District IV and NCAA Championships ... did not compete in track and field.

AT THE WORLD JUNIOR CROSS COUNTRY CHAMPIONSHIPS: Competed for Team USA at the championships held in Marrakech, Morocco, in March of 1998 ... placed 20th out of 200 runners ... guided the U.S. to a seventh-place finish, its best finish since 1988 ... ran the course in 24:20 to post the highest finish by an American since 1992.
