AS A JUNIOR: Cemented her status as the top field event performer on the Irish, earning her second All-American honor in the long jump ... began her quest for All-America honors during the indoor season, taking first in the long jump at the Tri Meet against Western Michigan and Ball State ... first hurdle race came in the Meyo Invitational, taking second in both the preliminaries (8.59) and the finals (8.48) ... won her second consecutive 60-meter hurdle title at the Windsor Team Challenge, posting a 8.65 time in the finals ... ended up fourth at the BIG EAST indoor meet with a 20-2 1/2 effort in the long jump ... also earned all-BIG EAST honors at the indoor meet in the 60-meter hurdles, finishing third in the preliminaries (8.55) and third in the finals (8.53) ... won the long jump with her best indoor effort of the season (20-3 3/4) at the Alex Wilson Invitational ... that jump qualified her for the NCAA indoor meet in Fayetteville, Ark., where she finished sixth in the prelimnaries (19-9) ... kicked off the 2002 outdoor season running the 100-meter hurdles at the Arizona State Invitational, finishing third in 14.15 ... helped the 4x100 relay team finish third at the Florida Relays (44.70), then turned around to leap 20-8 1/2 in the long jump and qualify for the NCAA Championship meet ... enjoyed an outstanding meet at the Tom Botts Invitational, winning both the 100-meter hurdles (14.21) and the long jump (19-9 1/2) ... competed at the Pomona-Pitzer Invitational, placing second in the long jump (19-11 1/2) and helping the 4x100 relay team post a victory in 44.82 ... finished fourth in the long jump and fifth in the 100-meter hurdles at the Mt. AS A SOPHOMORE: Continued to excel as one of Notre Dame's top performers during the track and field season ... displayed her athletic ability by earning victories in the hurdles, sprints and long jump during the season ... began the indoor season in fine form, taking first in the 60 meters (7.70) and winning the long jump competition (19-4 1/2) ... moved to the 60-meter hurdles the next weekend vs. Michigan State, winning the competition in 8.65, also while taking first in the long jump ... defended her 2000 Meyo Invitational long jump title in 2001, leaping 19-6 3/4 ... named the Most Outstanding Athlete at the Windsor Team Challenge after winning the 60 meters (7.69), 60-meter hurdles (8.62) and the long jump competition (20-0) ... earned two top-five finishes at the 2001 BIG EAST Indoor Championships, taking fourth in the 60-meter hurdles with a personal-best 8.49 and finishing third in the long jump (19-11) ... won two events at a home meet for the third time during the indoor season, winning the long jump (20-3 1/2) and taking first in the 60-meter hurdles ... kicked off the outdoor season with a victory in the long jump at the Arizona State Invitational and a third place effort in the 100-meter hurdles ... continued her home-meet top performances by capturing first in the 100-meter hurdles (14.31) and the long jump (20-1) ... completed a solid Tom Botts Invitational by winning the long jump (20-3 1/2) and finishing second in the 100 meters and 100-meter hurdles ... competed in the Mt. ON THE U.S. JUNIOR NATIONAL TEAM: Earned a spot on the U.S. Junior National Track and Field team with a runner up finish in the long jump at the National Junior Championships in Denton, Texas, June 23-24, 2000 ... jumped 21-2 at the championship to earn second place ... followed up with a second place finish at the USA-Canada International Junior Match held in Montreal, Canada, July 18 and 19, jumping 19-7 ... made the trip to Santiago, Chile, for the World Junior Championships, finishing 10th in her qualifying heat in the long jump (18-9 1/4).
