AS A JUNIOR: Combined with teammates Jaime Volkmer and Laura Huarte to provide Notre Dame with the deepest and most talented pole vault group in the BIG EAST Conference ... began the indoor season with a repeat victory against Western Michigan and Ball State, clearing 12-0 (3.66m) ... the victory marked her first clearance of the 12-0 barrier ... vaulted well at the Windsor Team Challenge, finishing third with a 11-11 3/4 clearance ... competed at the 2003 BIG EAST Indoor Championship, finishing seventh (11-5 3/4) ... began the outdoor season at the Baldy Castillo (Arizona State), finishing third by vaulting 11-6 1/4 ... scored in the pole vault once again for the team at the conference outdoor meet, clearing 11-5 3/4 to finish seventh.
AS A SOPHOMORE: Stepped up as a top threat in the pole vault during her second season ... won the first competition of the indoor season by clearing 11-6 against Western Michigan and Ball State ... won her second consecutive pole vault event the next weekend against Michigan State, clearing 11-5 3/4 ... finished second in the pole vault at the Meyo Invitational ... also finished second in the pole vault at the Windsor Team Challenge, clearing 11-9 3/4 ... just missed all-BIG EAST honors at the indoor meet, finishing fourth ... ended up eighth in the pole vault at the Alex Wilson Invitational ... made the trip west to begin the outdoor season at the Arizona State Invitational and finished fifth in the pole vault (11-0) ... competed at the Purdue Invitational and finished fourth ... won her first outdoor pole vault event at the Tom Botts Invitational, clearing a personal-best 11-7 3/4 ... wrapped up the 2002 track and field season with a sixth-place finish in the pole vault at the BIG EAST outdoor meet.
AS A FRESHMAN: Won her first collegiate pole vault competition and set the school record with an 11-4 effort (record was broken the next week) ... finished fourth in the pole vault at the Meyo Invitational ... took third place at the Windsor Team Challenge, clearing 11-1 ... took fifth place at the 2001 BIG EAST Indoor Championship with a 11-3 3/4 effort ... began the outdoor season with a third-place effort at the Arizona State Invitational ... placed fourth at the Tom Botts Invitational ... finished second behind teammate Jaime Volkmer (11-6) at the Woodland Mortgage Relays ... competed at the 2001 BIG EAST Outdoor Championships, finishing eighth in the pole vault.
PREP AND PERSONAL: Four-year letterwinner in cross country and track at Scottsdale Christian High School ... also earned two letters in cross country her junior and senior years ... a four-time conference, regional and state champion in the pole vault ... a three-time MVP of the track team and two-time MVP of the basketball team ... earned all state honors in '98, '99 and '00 for the track team ... served as team captain of the track, cross country and basketball team her senior season ... best pole vault effort in high school was 11-6 ... improved from a freshman mark of 9-9 ... member of the regional champion cross country team ... holds numerous school basketball records including most points, rebounds, blocks and steals in a season as well as most career points ... participated in the Casa Grande All-Star Basketball Game ... member of the National Honor Society ... born Jan. 17, 1982, in Dixon, Ill. ... enrolled in the Mendoza College of Business with a business/ finance major.
