AS A FRESHMAN: Competed as a distance runner for the Irish, racing in the 5,000m, 3,000m and 1 mile races...only raced in the mile once on the season, stopping the clock at 5:22.93 at the Notre Dame Indoor Opener...earned best finish in the 3,000m while racing at the Meyo Invitational as she crossed the finish line in a time of 10:24.83...raced in the 5,000m at the Mike Poehlein Invitational, an outdoor meet, and earned her best result with a final time of 18:07.64...raced in a total of seven meets on the campaign. HIGH SCHOOL AND PERSONAL: Four time letter winner in cross country ... cross country team captain junior and senior years ... two time team MVP and All-Conference runner ... lettered all four years in track and field ... track and field captain her senior year ... set a school record in the 3200m run ... a member of the National Honor Society ... a member of student government ... daughter of Jeff and Laura Watson ... has three sisters, Stephanie, Hannah and Meredith ... enrolled in the First Year of Studies. |
