Men Lead, Women Third After Day One Of BIG EAST Championship

NEW YORK -
The Notre Dame men's track and field team leads with 48 points. The Irish women have 26 points in third, but are only a half a point off second place South Florida. Patrick Smyth and Matt Schipper earn BIG EAST titles in the 5,000-meter run and pole vault respectively, Alyissa Hasan earns second in pentathlon.
