JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The University of Notre Dame track and field team excelled in the sprint portion of Friday’s racing, with Kaila Barber and Megan Yanik (400m hurdles) as well as Patrick Feeney (400m dash) earning berths into the NCAA Outdoor Championships after their performances at the NCAA East Preliminary Round at Hodges Stadium on the campus of the University of North Florida.
The final day of competition gets underway with the men’s pole vault at 11 a.m. Saturday. Senior Kevin Schipper will look to punch his second ticket to the NCAA Outdoor Championships in his career. He was named an All-American in 2010.
