NOTRE DAME, Ind. -
Over fifty student-athletes - included defending men's 400m Hurdles champion Balazs Molnar - will represent Notre Dame this week at the 2008 BIG EAST Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships. The meet will be held May 2-4 at Jumbo Elliot Track at Villanova Stadium.

The Notre Dame women hope to defend their overall team crown from one season ago. The men's team finished third with 110.5 points in 2007 after winning three of the previous four titles.
Justin Schneider is the top Irish competitor in the decathlon with a league-best 6,810-point total. Alyissa Hasan has automatically qualified for the NCAA Championship with her total of 5,509 points in the heptathlon, also topping the conference with that mark.
