NOTRE DAME, Ind. -- The Atlantic Coast Conference announced on Wednesday that seven University of Notre Dame track and field athletes have been named to the All-ACC Academic Team.

Senior Nate Richartz, who won the ACC pole vault title this outdoor season, placed ninth in the men’s pole vault at the NCAA Championships, clearing the 5.45m (17-10.5) bar.

Sophomore Matthew Birzer finished with a 2.08m mark in the high jump at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships.

Richartz and Birzer each went home with Second Team All-America honors.

Hunter Holton, a junior high jumper, barely missed qualifying for the NCAA finals after jumping 2.00m (6-6.75) at the NCAA Track and Field East Regional.

Sophomore Anna Rohrer won four ACC championships this past year, winning gold medals in the ACC Cross Country Championship, ACC Indoor Track Championship 5,000m and the ACC Outdoor Track Championship 5,000m and 10,000m. Rohrer also ran the then-fastest 10,000m race in the world at Stanford.

Junior Jessica Harris set the school record in the 1,500m at the NCAA Track and Field East Regional, posting a time of 4:11.67. Harris ultimately qualified for the finals at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships, finishing 10th overall (4:15.41). Harris is one of three All-ACC Academic Team members who also received CoSIDA All-America honors this past season.

Junior Jordan Shead, who finished fifth (58.69) in the 400m hurdles at the ACC Championships, just missed qualifying for the 400m hurdles semifinals after recording a time of 1:00.01 in the NCAA quarterfinals.

Senior Indi Jackson, who recorded the best mark of any Irish thrower this season at 15.96m (52-4.50), threw 15.38m (50-5.5) in the shot put at the NCAA Track and Field East Regional.
