Women's Cross Country at the National Catholic Invitational

Women's Cross Country won the National Catholic Invitational on September 17th, 2010.

AS A FRESHMAN: Competed in distance races for Irish track team during the year ... opened campaign at Blue and Gold Invitational, finishing seventh in the 3,000 in 10:29.10 ... placed 10th in the 3,000 at the Notre Dame Indoor Opener, stopping the clock at 10:37.14 ... raced the 1,600 in the Notre Dame Invitational, crossing seventh at 5:22.70 ... competed in the 1,600 at the Meyo Invitational, finishing 19th in her heat and 61st overall with a 10:33.40 ... at the Mike Poehlein Invitational, finished seventh in the 5,000 with a 18:15.67 ... crossed seventh in the 5,000 at the Dave Rankin Invite, posting a 18:15.87 ... third in her heat and 26th overall in the 5,000 at the Gina Relays after logging a 18:09.65 in her final race of the season. HIGH SCHOOL AND PERSONAL: Set a school record in both the 3,200 and 4x800 events ... four-year letterwinner in both track and swimming at Notre Dame Prep (Mich.) ... member of the National Honor Society, French National Honor Society, and president of the Pro-Life Club ... born May 21, 1991, in Pontiac, Mich. ... daughter of Lisa and Bruce Barron ... both her father ('83) and grandfather ('60) graduated from Notre Dame ... has one older brother and a younger sister ... enrolled in the College of Arts and Letters, majoring in psychology with a supplementary major in pre-professional studies.
