The Irish welcomed in some of the nation's best teams for the 59th annual Notre Dame Invitational.
AS A JUNIOR: Pieced together a stellar junior season both on the cross country course and track … competed in five meets during the cross country season, coming back from an early-season injury to grow stronger as the year progressed ... finished sixth of 207 runners at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional Championship (30:22), earning all-region honors ... placed 21st at the ACC Championship 8K (23:57.0), good for all-ACC recognition ... finished 92nd at the NCAA Championship 10K (31:30.0) as an individual qualifier … earned a cross country monogram … kicked off indoor track season as the men’s mile winner at the Notre Dame Invitational (4:05.99) … placed eighth in the 3,000 meters at the Razorback Invitational, cracking the program’s top 10 best times at No. 9 (8:06.49) … notched a personal best in securing fourth place at the prestigious Meyo Mile at the Meyo Invitational (4:02.33) … notched the program’s fifth-best time with a 14th-place performance at the Iowa State Classic (13:59.91) … barely missed All-ACC honors with a seventh-place finish in the 3,000 meters at the ACC Indoor Championships (8:08.21) … also placed 11th in the 5,000 meters at the indoor conference meet (14:26.42) … started the outdoor season with an eighth-place finish in his section of the 5,000 meters at the Stanford Invitational (13:56.24) … placed 10th in the 1,500 at the Virginia Challenge (3:43.91) … fell just shy of all-ACC honors, finishing seventh in the 5,000 meters at the ACC Outdoor Championships (14:18.96) … raced to a stellar sixth-place finish in 13:58.46 in the 5,000 at the NCAA Division I East Preliminary Championships to become a national qualifier … became a USTFCCCA Second Team All-American after a 15th-place finish in the event at the NCAA Outdoor Championships (14:13.44) … named to both the All-ACC Academic indoor and outdoor teams … earned a track monogram.
AS A SOPHOMORE:Competed in six meets during the cross country season ... placed third of 91 runners at the National Catholic Championship 5K (25:05.4) ... took 27thout of 129 runners in the ACC Championship 8K (24:47.6), finishing fourth of the Notre Dame runners in the field and helping the Irish to third place ... finished 22ndof 207 runners in the NCAA Great Lakes Regional 10K (30:55), where the Irish qualified for the NCAA Championships ... earned a cross country monogram ... recorded a third place finish in the 5000M run at the ACC Outdoor Track & Field Championships (14:02.19) ... Competed in the NCAA Division I East Preliminary Round, achieving a 19th place finish among 43 runners in the 5000m run (14:20.43) ... earned a track and field monogram.
