2012 Cross Country Season:Turned in another strong year for the Irish cross country team, earning all-BIG EAST and all-region accolades ... closed out year with a 100th place finish out of 253 runners at the 6K NCAA Championship (20:48.0) as the Irish took 15th out of 31 teams ... was named all-region after finished 10th out of 217 runners at the 6K NCAA Great Lakes Regional meet (20:40) ... helped the team to a third place finish out of 32 teams ... prior to the region meet earned all-BIG EAST accolades after finishing 12th out of 126 runners at the 6K BIG EAST Championship (21:21) as Notre Dame took fifth out of 15 teams ... competed in three regular season meets ... opened year by taking third out of 266 runners at the 5K National Catholic Championship (17:22.2) ... took 15th out of 145 runners in the 5K blue race at the Notre Dame Invitational (17:02) ... warmed up for BIG EAST by finishing 65th out of 327 runners on the 6K course at the Wisconsin Invitational (20:37).
AS A SOPHOMORE: Ran at six of the seven meets during the cross country season ... paced the Irish at the 6K NCAA National Championships, finishing 114th out of 254 runners (21:09.8) ... also placed 26th out of 138 runners at the 6K BIG EAST Championships (21:01.2) and 86th out of 227 runners at the 6K NCAA Great Lakes Regional (22:21.6) ... opened year with a seventh place finish out of 272 runners at the 5K National Catholic Championships (17:34) ... crossed the line in 51st place out of 225 runners in the 5K blue race at the Notre Dame Invitational (17:50) ... also ran at the 6K Wisconsin Invitational (21:40.6) ... earned a cross country monogram ... ran in 12 meets for the indoor/outdoor track & field season ... assisted her teammates to a second-place finish at the BIG EAST Outdoor Track & Field Championships in the 4x800m relay (8:35.89), earning all-BIG EAST accolades ... placed third at the BIG EAST Outdoor Championships in the 1,500m run (4:24.88), earning her second all-BIG EAST scroll ... was a first-place finisher in the 1,500m run (4:26.80) at the Victor Lopez Classic, in the 1,000m run (2:50.70) at the Notre Dame Invitational and in the 4x800m relay (8:35.89) at the Drake Relays ... was a participant in the NCAA East Preliminary Round ... named a BIG EAST Academic All-Star ... earned a track and field monogram.
AS A FRESHMAN: Opened her rookie campaign with an impressive first place finish in the mile at the Blue & Gold Invitational with a time of 4:59.85 ... brought home a sixth place finish in the 3,000m run at the Notre Dame Invitational with a time of 10:12.22 ... helped the Irish 4x800mm relay to a second place finish at the Indiana University Relays with a time of 9:00.04...also garnered a tenth place finish at the meet in the mile with a time of 5:01.50... brought home fourth place in the 1,000m run at the BIG EAST Indoor Championships with a personal-best time of 2:52.46 ... set a season best in the mile with a time of 4:50.77 at the Notre Dame Alex Wilson Invitational, good for a 15th place finish at the meet ... brought home a first place finish from the Stanford Invitational in the 1,500m run with a time of 4:31.91 ... finished with a fourth place finish and a personal-best time of 2:11.13 in the 800m run at the Beach Invitational ... placed second overall at the Gina Relays in the 1,500m run the with a personal best time of 4:25.52 ... competed in three events at the BIG EAST Outdoor Championships which included a fourth place finish in the 4x800mm relay with a time of 8:51.63...closed out the season with an appearance at the NCAA Division I East Preliminary Round meet in the 1,500m run ... earned monograms in both sports.
HIGH SCHOOL AND PERSONAL: Eleven- time letter winner in cross country, track and basketball ... helped her team to seven conference championships, eight regional championships and six state championships between cross country, track and basketball ... team captain in cross country her junior and senior campaigns ...team captain in basketball and track during her senior season ... four-year MVP in both cross country and track ... junior and senior MVP in basketball ... nine-time all conference recipient...eight-time all-state honoree in cross country and track...holds the state and school record in cross country (17:27) as well as 3200-meter (11:03), 1600-meter (4:55) and 800 (2:12)...her greatest athletic thrill in high school was breaking a five minute mile ... member of the National Honor Society ...daughter of Michael and Colleen ... has two older brothers who currently attend Notre Dame ... her mother and aunt both played tennis at the University of Illinois...enrolled in the College of Science and is majoring in science - business.
