AS A JUNIOR: Earned a cross country monogram after running in five meets, including the 1998 BIG EAST championships ... opened the season with a 24th-place finish at the Wolf & Kettle Invitational ... helped lead the Irish to the men?s gold division championships at the Notre Dame Invitational with a seventh-place finish ... first on the team at the Central Collegiate Championships, turning in an 18th-place time of 25:47.31 ... placed 43rd in 25:34 at his first BIG EAST cross country championships ... also earned his first track and field monogram in 1999 ... ran in six indoor and six outdoor meets ... turned in two fourth-place finishes during the indoor season in the 1,000 meters and the mile run ... posted a career best of 4:15.04 in the indoor mile at the Alex Wilson Invitational ... competed in his first BIG EAST outdoor track meet, placing 20th in the 1,500 meter-run with a time of 3:59.80.

AS A SOPHOMORE: Competed in only two cross country meets in ?97 ... best time was 27:33 at the Central Collegiate Championships ... saw action in three meets during the indoor track season .. ran the mile twice, finishing seventh at the tri-meet with Indiana and Tennessee and ninth at the Meyo Invitational ... placed fifth in the 1,000-meter race at the Alex Wilson Invite in 2:31.69 ... ran once during the outdoor season, a ninth place in the 1,500 meters at the quad meet with Butler, Miami and Western Michigan.

AS A FRESHMAN: Ran in four cross country races as a freshman in ?96 ... finished a team-best sixth at the Valparaiso Invitational in 26:13.57 ... ran in the two home cross country meets, highlighted by a seventh-place finish in the junior varsity division at the National Catholic Championships ... competed three times in the indoor track season ... placed eighth in the 1,000-meter run at the Meyo Invitational ... finished fifth in the mile at the Alex Wilson Invitational in a season-best time of 4:18.37 ... ran the 1,500 meters three times during the outdoor season, with his best finish (ninth) and his best time (4:02.0) at the tri-meet with Butler and Miami.

HIGH SCHOOL AND PERSONAL NOTES: Lettered four times in track and two times in cross country at Westwood High School ... went undefeated his sophomore through senior seasons in the one and two mile ... 13th at the national track meet in the mile with a time of 4:22 as a senior ... third at Massachusetts state indoor meet in the two mile in 1996 (9:35) ... also placed third at the New England meet in the two mile as a senior ... three-time conference track champ ... two-time Tri-Valley League cross country champion ... finished fifth at the state cross country meet his senior season ... served as track and cross country team captain as a junior and senior ... also lettered twice in soccer as a center midfielder ... member of the pre-medical national honor society ... brother James played lacrosse at St. Anselm College in New Hampshire ... born June 2, 1978, in Boston, Mass. ... enrolled in the College of Science with a major in pre-professional studies.
