AS A SOPHOMORE: Competed in nine meets for the Irish on the year...raced primarily in the 800m as well as once in the 1,000m...ended the season at the Hillsdale Relays racing in the 800m and finishing with a time of 1:53.94, best time of the season...finished with a time of 1:54.10 at the Eastern Michigan Invitational...set best time on the indoor circuit at the Alex Wilson Invitational where he finished with a time of 1:53.80...ran the 1,000m at the Blue and Gold Invitational, stopping the clock with a time of 2:30.37.

AS A FRESHMAN: Did not race for the Irish during the campaign.

HIGH SCHOOL AND PERSONAL: Competed in track, football and lacrosse for Libertyville High School...led football team to conference, regional and state championship during junior campaign...was named team captain and MVP of track team, as well as earning all-conference, all-city and all-state honors during his senior year...was nationally ranked in track during senior season as well...was a member of National Honor Society and Fellowship of Christian Athletes...son of John and Patty Howard...has one sibling, Tracey.
