AS A SOPHOMORE: Established himself as a valuable member of both the Irish cross country and track and field teams ... ended up among the top eight runners on the cross country team during the 2002 season ... began the season with a victory in the National Catholic JV race, completing the course in 25:54 ... ended up 36th at the Notre Dame Invitational ... helped Notre Dame finish fourth at the BIG EAST Championship with a 28th-place effort ... appeared in his first NCAA Championship for cross country in Terre Haute, finishing fourth on the team in 179th place ... focused on the mile run during the 2003 indoor season ... was in the field for the legendary Meyo Mile at the Meyo Invitational, running a career-best 4:01.90 to finish eighth ... carried over the momentum from the Meyo Invitational to the BIG EAST indoor meet, finishing third in the mile (4:14.71) to earn all-BIG EAST honors for the first time in his career ... earned second all-BIG EAST certificate of his career at the same meet, helping Kevin Somok, Colin Quinn and Thomas Chamney finish third in the 4x800 relay (7:39.61) ... also won the mile run against Michigan State (4:08.98) ... member of the 2003 men's distance medley relay team ... combined with teammates Somok, Ryan Postel and Chamney to qualify for the NCAA Championship ... eventually finished 10th at the 2003 NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships in Fayetteville, Ark. ... moved to the 1,500 meters for the 2003 outdoor season ... established a new career best with a solid 3:44.16 effort in the 1,500 meters at the Stanford Invitational ... earned his third career all-BIG EAST honor at the outdoor meet, finishing third in the 1,500 meters (3:50.65) ... followed up with yet another all-BIG EAST effort as a member of the 4x800 relay team, finishing third in 7:30.63 along with Chamney, Somok and Vinnie Ambrico ... was once again the running for a spot in the NCAA Championship in the 1,500 meters ... qualified for the inaugural NCAA Mideast Regional and finished fifth in his preliminary heat ... eventually finished ninth in the finals (3:53.07) at the regional.

AS A FRESHMAN: Ran three cross country meets in his rookie season ... helped the team win the group title at the Valparaiso Invitational with a 16th-place finish ... played a key role in the team championship at the Central Collegiates, finishing 10th ... ran the Gold Division race during the Notre Dame Invitational, finishing 12th ... established himself as one of the top middle distance specialists during the track and field season ... finished third in the 1,600 meters at the Purdue Open to begin the indoor season ... earned first collegiate victory in first home meet, winning the 800 meters in the Tri-Meet against Western Michigan and Ball State ... posted second consecutive victory in the 800 meters against Michigan State (1:51.86) ... continued winning streak at the Meyo Invitational, claiming first in the mile run (4:09.76) ... ran the mile again at the Alex Wilson Invitational, finishing 13th (4:09.71) ... began the outdoor season at the Arizona State Invitational, competing in the 1,500 meters ... moved down to the 800 meters at the Purdue Invitational and finished third (1:53.16) ... placed second in the 800 meters at the Spring Opener (1:51.27) ... continued to improve his 800-meter time at the Tom Botts Invitational, taking second place in 1:50.95 ... was a member of Notre Dame's victorious 4x1,600-meter relay team at the Drake Relays (16:35.34) ... participated in his first BIG EAST meet, advancing to the finals of the 800 meters at the 2002 outdoor championship ... ended up seventh in the field ... made a late run at an NCAA qualification time 3:45.00 in the 1,500 meters ... finished third in the 1,500 at the Billy Hayes Invitational (3:50.59) ... took second in section two of the 1,500 meters at the Georgia Tech Invitational in 3:46.12.
