AS A JUNIOR: Turned in the top overall season of his career, developing into one of the top five runners on the cross country team and scoring in both the indoor and outdoor BIG EAST meets ... ended up just missing all-BIG EAST honors in cross country (finishing 20th - top 15 earn all-conference accolades) and the indoor 3,000 meters (finishing fourth - top three earn all-conference honors) ... began the '03 cross country season by finishing second on the team and third overall at the National Catholic ... ran well at the Notre Dame Invitational, finishing fourth on the team and 20th overall ... competed in the Pre-National meet, taking 58th place ... helped Notre Dame finish second at the BIG EAST cross country meet, finishing 20th overall ... ended up third on the team and 41st overall at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional ... warmed up for the indoor track season with a first-place effort in the mile (4:12.20) at the Blue and Gold Invitational ... ran very well at the BIG EAST indoor meet in the 3,000 meters, finishing fourth overall in 8:19.56 ... ran the 5,000 meters just twice during the '04 outdoor season, qualifying for the BIG EAST meet at the Stanford Invitational (14:25.66), then finishing eighth at the BIG EAST Outdoor Championship (14:57.32).
