    AS A SOPHOMORE: Competed in his first cross country season during the 2001 season ... finished 12th at the Valparaiso Invitational, helping the Irish claim the team title ... ran well at the Central Collegiate Championships, finishing fourth and helping the team win as a group once again ... ran the Gold Division race during the Notre Dame Invitational and finished seventh ... debuted in the 800 meters for the 2002 indoor season during the Tri-Meet against Western Michigan and Ball State ... improved his 800-meter time against Michigan State the next weekend, taking second place in 1:53.22 ... ended up as Notre Dame's top finisher in the Meyo Mile during the Meyo Invitational, running a career-best 4:07.92 to finish sixth in the prestigious race ... qualified for the 1,000 meters at the BIG EAST indoor meet, taking sixth place in 2:27.39 ... wrapped up the indoor season running the mile during the Alex Wilson Invitational ... ran in the Arizona State Invitational to begin the outdoor track and field season for the second-straight year, finishing seventh in the 1,500 meters (3:51.90) ... moved down to the 800 meters at the Purdue Invitational, ending up sixth in the field ... competed in the 1,500 meters at the Spring Opener ... ran a solid 1,500-meter race at the Tom Botts Invitational, finishing fourth in 3:52.38 ... made the trip to the Mt. SAC Relays to run the 1,500 meters and had a great race, finishing third in 3:50.29 ... advanced to the finals of the 1,500 meters at the BIG EAST outdoor meet for the second consecutive year (finished 11th) ... made a late charge at a possible NCAA Championship spot in the 1,500 meters at the Georgia Tech Invitational, running under 3:50.00 for the first time in his career and winning his first collegiate track and field race (3:49.36).

    AS A FRESHMAN: Ran the mile during his first collegiate track and field meet against Western Michigan and Ball State ... moved down to the 800 meters against Michigan State ... competed at the Meyo Invitational in the 1,000 meters ... qualified for the 1,000 meters at the BIG EAST indoor meet, finishing fourth in his heat (2:28.72) ... returned to the mile during the Alex Wilson Invitational, running a season-best time in 4:11.73 ... began the outdoor season running the 1,500 meters at the Arizona State Invitational (3:53.68) ... ran the 1,500 meters at the Spring Opener, finishing sixth ... improved 1,500-meter time at the Tom Botts Invitational, finishing third in 3:51.38 ... took second place at the Woodland Mortgage Relays in the 800 meters (1:54.09) ... advanced to the finals of the 1,500 meters at the BIG EAST outdoor meet, ending up sixth in 3:52.17 ... competed in the 800 meters at the Billy Hayes Invitational, then ran a solid 3:50.00 in the 1,500 meters at the Georgia Tech Invitational.
