AS A FRESHMAN: Did not compete for the Irish on the season.
HIGH SCHOOL AND PERSONAL: Competed for basketball, cross country and track and field teams while attending Santa Margarita Catholic High School...earned three letters in track (sophomore through senior year) and two in cross country (junior and senior year)...was elected as team captain of both cross country and track teams during senior campaign...was a member of the 4 x 800m relay team which recorded the third fastest time in the nation in 2007 (7:51.51)...was a member of the National Honor Society...son of Kary and Donna Yergler...has two siblings, Ashley and Nicole...sister, Nicole, is currently attending Notre Dame and running for the track team.
