    The Irish played their first ACC series in program history at No. 6 NC State March 8-9.

    AT NOTRE DAME: Two-year monogram winner ... should have a shot at a starting spot at either DH, 1B or OF ... versatile player that can play all over the field with the exception of the mound ... mature player who has arguably improved more defensively than any player in the program since arriving at Notre Dame ... has potential to be a power hitter ... improved tremendously at the plate since arriving on campus and turned in solid fall semester leading into junior campaign ... sported a 3.054 GPA heading into the spring 2014 semester.
