The Notre Dame baseball team held its first practice of the 2007 fall season on Sept. 4 and will continue to hold fall workouts over the next six weeks, culminating with the annual Blue-Gold Series - with the three intrasquad games slated to be played midweek on the afternoons/early evenings of Oct. 16-18 (full details still TBA).
Notre Dame returns each of its all-BIG EAST performers from the 2007 season - junior righthander David Phelps, senior shortstop Brett Lilley and sophomore third baseman A.J. Pollock (who could be tried at the open center-field spot) - while welcoming a freshman class that is ranked among the best in the nation.
