Quotebook
"He plays a lot like (Larry) Bird. He makes all the other kids better. Whenever you formulate your game plan against Notre Dame, you've got to start with him."
- Drexel coach Bill Herrion
"There's nobody we play against who I like better than Garrity. I just think Garrity is a helluva player. He's a tough kid. He plays the boards. He doesn't let up on defense. He maintains position and he's an outstanding offensive basketball player."
- Indiana coach Bob Knight
"Now you know why he was (BIG EAST) player of the year last year and why he's going to be player of the year again. He's a 6-9 guy who can shoot and who's very physical. I like his game."
- Pittsburgh guard Vonteego Cummings
"Pat Garrity truly represents the term student-athlete. Brilliant in the classroom and sensational on the basketball court. There is no doubt he can play on the next level and he is awesome, baby, with a capital A."
- ABC/ESPN analyst Dick Vitale
