Averaged 28.0 points and 6.5 rebounds in Notre Dame's 2-0 week. Garrity, who has led the Irish in scoring in all four contests, is averaging 22.5 points and 7.3 rebounds. He is shooting 46.5 percent from the field through four games and 78.3 percent from the charity stripe.
In Notre Dame's 72-42 win over Northeastern, he scored 24 points and grabbed six rebounds in 24 minutes of action. In an 88-69 victory over Sam Houston State, he scored a season-high 32 points (the third 30-plus performance of his career) and hauled in nine rebounds. Garrrity connected on 11-of-18 shots from the field in the game and was three-of-six from three-point range.
Garrity, the 1997 BIG EAST Player of the Year, was named to the GTE CoSIDA Men's Basketball Academic All-America first team last season. He has been a member of the Dean's List all six semesters at Notre Dame.
