Men's Basketball

2016-17 OUTLOOK:

“John is physically ready to do it as a freshman. He is intense as heck and too hard on himself.  He gives us that stretch four we have had in the program here before. I would compare him to Rob Kurz, but when Kurz got to the program he was 190 pounds, Mooney is 240. He is active athletically, a great passer and has an extremely bright future for us and will compete for minutes right away.”
- Notre Dame head coach Mike Brey
