    Men's Basketball Auction To Benefit Hurricane Sandy Victims Now On-Line

    NOTRE DAME, Ind. - Earlier this week, the Fighting Irish basketball team launched a special online auction on the its official web site und.com to benefit the victims of Hurricane Sandy. The auction, featuring some unique memorabilia, is running through Thursday, Jan. 17.

    Proceeds from the auction will be presented to New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, a longtime friend of Notre Dame head coach Mike Brey, during the Notre Dame-Rutgers game at Purcell Pavilion at the Joyce Center on Saturday, Jan. 19 at 8:00 p.m. (ET).

    While Irish fans have the opportunity to help the victims through this auction, monetary donations for the victims of Hurricane Sandy also can be made online or by calling the Notre Dame Ticket Office at 574-631-7356. Donations can be made up until Sunday, Jan. 20 at 10:00 p.m. (ET).
