NOTRE DAME, Ind. - Yes, Irish fans, ESPN College GameDay will be returning to Purcell Pavilion at the Joyce Center this season. Notre Dame's matchup with Louisville on Saturday, Feb. 9 has been designated as the site for the show. Tipoff for the BIG EAST primetime matchup will be at 9 p.m. (ET).

Notre Dame's selection as the site was announced today during ESPN's College GameDay telecast from Raleigh, N.C., as part of the North Carolina-North Carolina State game.

ESPN College GameDay returns to the Notre Dame campus for the second time in 2012-13. The football crew visited South Bend on Saturday, Oct. 13 when the Irish played host to Stanford.

This will mark the second time in school history that Notre Dame has been the host for College GameDay during the basketball season. Purcell Pavilion was the site of the morning show and primetime basketball contest on Jan. 24, 2009, when the Irish played Connecticut.

Coupled with visits for football, next month's College GameDay broadcast will mark the 10th time the ESPN crews have visited Notre Dame.

ESPN College GameDay's coverage, presented by State Farm, airs on Saturday mornings on ESPNU from 10 to 11 a.m. (ET) and on ESPN from 11 a.m. to noon (ET). A one-hour edition airs at 8 p.m. (ET) prior to ESPN's Saturday Primetime presented by DIRECTV telecast at 9 p.m. (ET).

Rece Davis is in his ninth year as the host for College GameDay and is joined by analysts Jay Bilas, former Notre Dame head coach Digger Phelps and Jalen Rose. The quartet previews all the day's action and discusses the biggest storylines in college basketball. Rose is new to this season's GameDay crew.

A featured analyst throughout the college basketball season, Rose has been with the network since 2007 when he began working as part of the ESPN's NBA studio coverage.

Including the trip to Notre Dame, the ESPN basketball College GameDay crew will visit the Hoosier State three times in '12-'13. Last Saturday, the show took place from Hinkle Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Ind., as part of the Gonzaga-Butler telecast, and one week prior to the Irish taking on the Cardinals, the ESPN cameras will be in Bloomington, Ind., for the Michigan-Indiana game.
